Patch-nosed Salamander
The patched-nose salamander is the second smallest salamander species of United States. The lungless creature has five toes on its feet. In the Greek language the term “Urspelerpes” (the genus it belongs) is an amalgamation of two words, ‘ur’ and ‘spelerpes’ meaning archaic and cave creeper respectively.
